Introduction
Imperia Music is an online music distribution service providing artists instant access to a large proportion of the online market. Designed and built to take advantage of the shift towards independent and self-publication through online and mobile music outlets, and the consumer switch to online purchasing as outlined by the success of iTunes, Myspace and Pump Audio, ImperiaMusic is partnered with some of the biggest retailers on the web togive artists massive and immediate availability for their tracks
Artists can submit tracks to Imperia Music and enter into a non-exclusive agreement, permitting us to distribute their music to a worldwide audience in amatter of moments. They then select partnered retail outlets that theywish their music to be available through (e.g. iTunes, eMusic, AmazonMp3 and more..) and within moments their songs are submitted intoselected stores as part of a world wide, web wide, distribution network. Our rates for providing a distribution service can be considered the best in the market, and our ever expanding catalogue gives us increasing muscle with which to negotiate deals from which everyone, artists, clients and distribution partners included will all benefit.

How long does it take for an album to go live once paid for?
On average it takes about 4-6 weeks to go live on all stores. Somestores review faster than others with Amazon taking under a week,Napster and Emusic about a week or two, Rhapsody about 2-3 weeks andthe same for GroupieTunes. So far we have been unable to determine theaverage time to go live in Lala.com and Shockhound as they are so new.Remember Imperia does not have control over when your album goes livebut these are averages based on long-term distribution relationshipswith each DSP (digital service provider).
Is there a way to expedite my release?
Unfortunately no, not at this time.
As soon as royalties for your album or single exceed $50.00 USD,your royalties will be sent directly to your band. Most stores (likeiTunes) send your sales information and money within 45 days after theend of the month in which the sale took place. As an example, if youhad sales in the month of February, the stores send your salesinformation and money by April 15 (45 days after the end of February). Some stores, like eMusic and Napster (for streams only) send your salesinformation and money within 45 days after the end of each QUARTER. Soif your music sold in those stores any time during January, February orMarch, you'll know about all three months by May 15. On the rareoccasion that your sales information and money is posted late, it isdue to delays in reporting from the stores.
We also offer weekly trending reports by request.
How do I take down an album that has already been paid for?
If your album has been live on any of the stores for at least six months then just contact usand we will process a takedown for you. For albums that have not beenlive for at least six months there is an early take down fee of $20.You can contact us to process your request.
My go live date has passed, why is my album not live?
There could be multiple reasons for why an album may not be live beforeor after the projected go live date has passed. More often then not itis because there is an open issue that needs to be resolved. If youralbum is not live but your go live date has passed and/or your albumhas been listed in processing for more than 48 hours please contact us.
What format must my music be in, in order to upload to Imperia?
We have found mp3 files at 192kbps and .wav files to be the mostreliable and therefore recommend them first and foremost. Remember thatthey must be set at a 44.1 khz sample rate, 16 bit sample size and thechannel set to stereo. Not sure how to convert your music? – We'll doit for you upon request.

Why is ATW1 Radio on imperiamusic.com?
ATW1 Radio has historically been associated with the founder of Imperia Music and is actually under the control of Imperia Music. In late 2009, Imperia Music decided to assimilate the different branches of the company into a single website in order for increased organzation, and for the different branches of Imperia Music to dually support one another through sharing the same home.
ATW1 Radio essentially shares the same goals of Imperia Music. Both groups work to promote independent musicians as well as support innovative artists who are devoted to create a 21st century platform for success in a dying industry.
